So Payton is now 4 months old! She's growing by leaps and bounds! She's 17lbs, 28 inches long, and at her last check up the doctor laughed at me when I said I thought she was leaning out. I guess she had gone up in her percentile on her weight! LOL She's at her 96th percentile on weight, 100th on height, and 72nd on her head. So for those that are reading and saying those numbers mean nothing to them, that means that she's the height of a 9 month old, the weight of a 8 month old and her head is the size of a 6 to 7 month old! And she's just turned 4 months old.
Her new favorites: being held above your head, watching einstein videos (i only have one at the moment..need to find more) daddy coming home from work, her hands, watching motor cross races with daddy and sitting up (with assistance) :o)

My new news I have a job, only part time, but it's something! I start on monday, my mom is going to be coming over to take care of Payton for us. That will save us a little money, and Payton will be at home with my mom. Which will be nice. I won't have to take her anywhere for the time being. We'll see how things work out! I'm optimistic.

In the process too of getting my moms place ready to sale. She's been there since 1972, it's just too much property for her. We're going to try to find her a place that has a smaller yard. And possibly in a 55 and older community. Fingers crossed we can sale her house soon!

Update -January

Hello all! Hope that this post finds everyone sticking to their new years resolutions, and finding that the new year is headed off in a positive direction!:o)
Well I'm still looking for employment, but I'm not giving in just yet, I've had two interviews so far, I interviewed at a local engineering firm, and got the 'thanks for your time, it was a tough choice...but if this other candidate doesn't work out...we'll call you' ~~Love getting second place!
Anyhow, had another interview yesterday with a company for an administrative assistant, and I got a really good vibe from the place and would LOVE to work there, lots of room to grow, and new things to learn, which I thrive on! Not saying where yet...don't want to jinx it! WIsh me luck though, and keep everything crossed for me, location is great, pay is great, and the people that I've met so far all seem great too!

Payton is growing like crazy! She's 16 1/2 lbs, and wearing quite a few 6 month old size clothing, she'll be 3 months next week! She's sleeping pretty well now at night, but for the life of me I can't get her to take a nap in her crib during the day, I think she thinks that she's going to be in there for a long time if she sleeps there! lol But she sleeps great on the couch and in her swing! So thats where I've been getting her to take naps.

Booked a yurt on the coast for my 30th!! We're going to take the quads too, get some riding in on the coast & also do some sight seeing, tourist stuff! A few close friends are going to come along! I can't wait! It's going to be a blast! Between my mom and Nicks parents they are going to watch Payton while we're gone, I can't wait to go play! Not to mention take a road trip... I'm restless!

Nick & his dad hired a new bookkeeper at Evergreen, so far she's working out pretty well, and fitting right in with everyone down there. Connie who has been there for almost 20 years is retireing.

Our new years was pretty uneventful, we went to a buddies house took Payton with us....yeah bad idea..she had a melt down by 10:30 or so. Too many people talking too her, too much stimulation, it was past her bed time, we couldn't get her to go down... sigh..... lol
She's alot like mom in the sense that if their is somthing going on that seems fun and interesting, she wants to be a part of it and not miss a moment of it! Just as soon as we put her in her car seat and she knew that was que that we where going, she calmed down. Got her in the truck, and she was awake for most of the 40 min drive. Just looking out the window, and smiling at me from time to time. Luckily she went down once we where home, and slept well that night, so Nick & I didn't torcher our self too badly the next day. lol We didn't even get to stay till midnight, we where home by 11:45. Ahh....the party life of a parent! LOL

Our Christmas

Wow...Christmas is already over! And now we're headed towards new years.
Well the holidays have been filled with firsts for our family. Most important one, Payton had her first Christmas!

She also had her first set of shots on the 21st. Man...talk about tough! For mom & dad that is! I teared up seeing her big ol'crockadile tears!

Another first for me, being laid off for lack of work! :o( I no longer work at Briggs Engineering. The economy is so slow that the company hit it's 8th round of layoffs, and unfortunately I was part of that! The hope is that they pick up around spring time. And I can go back. But only time will tell. I know it wasn't personal, if it were, I would have been gone a long time ago! I just miss using a different part of my brain that I haven't used since October 21st! ha..ha... I am looking for other places, but taking my time and being a little finicky at the moment. Has to be just the right fit. I have un-employment coming in, and we have a little saved up, so in a sense, I'm taking an extended maturity leave while looking for another job. With the hopes that I can go back to Briggs in the spring, even if its part time. I loved working there, enjoyed my job on so many levels. I've never had a job that I enjoyed this much. Wish me luck!!

We had a white Christmas this year! Haven't had one in a while! The picture below was taken before we really got dumped on, but the lights look so pretty with the snow!

We spent Christmas eve with my mom at her house, and then Christmas morning we got up had our Christmas, and then headed to Nicks parents house to have brunch and open gifts there. Then later that afternoon had the Fusselman family Christmas at the church gym.
It was nice to see everyone and enjoy extended family time!

We hope everyones Christmas was as enjoyable as ours was, and that everyone took the time to soak up the little moments that the holidays had to offer.

Quick holiday update

We're pretty much ready for Christmas! So is Payton, she has all kinds of cute outfits to sport for everyone to see! This one is one Grandma Ragsdale bought for her, love the butt! Whats crazy is that she's wearing 3-6 months in size. She's smiling allot and cooing all the time. Daddy can always work a smile out of her, she's already becoming a daddy's girl! We're really excited about Christmas this year, have allot to look forward too!

Our First Family Pictures

A while back my sister in law Carrie took our first family photos. Most have already seen these but some are not on the other sites where I have posted them. So here are a few of our faves!
I swear, if Carrie ever decides she wants a second career, she has one in photography, she has such a creative eye! She did a great job on our pics....as always! ;o)

December 12th, 2008

Well I blog quite a bit on other sites. Decided that I should do one on this site too, more people can look at it & keep up on Nick & I, and our journeys through life. Well on Tuesday this last week, our baby girl, Payton. Turned 7 weeks! Crazy how much she has changed since she was born, or even brought home from the hospital for that matter! I weighed myself the other morning, then picked her up to see how much we both weighed, she was one ounce shy of 13lbs!!! (Sheeesh kiddo...no wonder your diapers are getting tight!) She wear mostly 3-6 month size clothes, and in the onsies she's wearing 6-9 months cause otherwise they are too short! lol (she has daddy's long body...but she still got mommy's long legs too ;o)

She smiles allot now, and loves Mommy/daughter dance time in the living room!
Well a short blog, but I'll keep on this one & keep the updates comin!
