1st zoo visit!

Took Payton to the zoo today, her 1st trip. She was more interested in all the people that where crowding the place, but she liked the giraffes and butterflies that where displayed in a case. lol
She liked the tigers too.

She loved being on daddy's shoulders!

Family Pic!

Our friends Dave, Mary Beth & their son Aaron met up with us.

We had a good time, it was fun taking Payton to the zoo. It was packed though, it was zoo daze. translation....TONS of families. Carnival kind of atmosphere, face painting, Balloon animals, fair style food. The heat wore her out as well as all the sights! Walking back to the truck she was tuckered out!

May 09

Well it's been a while since I blogged about life. Nick & I are looking forward to our trip at the end of the summer. We're going to head to the coast with the quads, and camp with a bunch of friends. REALLY looking forward to it! Anyone who would like to join, just let me know!

Payton had her 6 month check up! She's still in the 90th percentile. 98% on height, and 96% on weight. Height of a 11 month old, and the weight of a 9-10 month old!

She's sitting up now, beginning to get mobile, and starting foods.
I know to some they think she should have been on foods far earlier. But because of her acid reflux that she had in the first few months of life, her doctor thought it best to wait till she was over it more so that when she did start foods she wouldn't have too many more issues. So far her faves are: Apples, Pears, butternut squash, and the one that we discovered last night, banana's!

It's fun to feed her, figured out what she does & doesn't like. Once I figure out what she's crazy about, I'll start making her food. My sister bought me a great baby food maker. Excited to use it!

On a side note, in our front yard ever since we moved in their has been this transplanted tulip in a random spot, from a furry little rodent I'm sure. But for the first year it was only one tulip, the next year, and couple following it was two tulips, this year...their are three....I like the coincidence!
Hope everyone had a great Easter holiday. We spent time with my family this year. Ms. Payton had a cute outfit on, and it was nice to spend some time with family.

Some of the pictures I took at Easter.

Recently I went to the park to to take some pictures of some friends and their kids. I also snapped a few of Nick, Payton, and even Nick took some of me.

We also started taking Payton to childcare two days a week while I'm at work. I think it will be good for her, be around people who are not in her circle. Let her get used to a place so that way when I do go back to work full time it's not quite as much of a shock for her. And as this lady who's watching her gets her spots filled, Payton will meet new faces. She so social by nature. Yesterday was her first day, and I figured when I left she would start crying or reach for me. Nope, she looked at me smiled, and went back to playing with Ms. Heathers necklace. I called on my lunch break to see how she was doing, she was playing having a good time, and I asked if she might have had a melt down once I left, apparently she hadn't noticed I left! ha..ha...
She really likes Heather, and Nick & I both had a great feeling about her. I think this will work well!
